When students apply to foreign schools and colleges outside India, most of the countries require Indian Students to prove that they have immunity to some of the common contagious infectious diseases like :
Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, TB (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Meningococci etc.).
Most of the Indian students have incomplete, missing, or questionable medical records to prove that they have got the required vaccinations for the above diseases and so they may be required to get revaccination or serology (lab) testing. In general, vaccinations should be repeated in cases of uncertainty, but judicious use of serology (lab tests for the immunization status) can determine which vaccinations are needed for these individuals.
